The Target near my house reliably stocks seasonal, limited-edition Oreos, and this year it’s Candy Corn Oreos. They make a colorful and festive addition to an easy Halloween Cookie Bark.

I found these Candy Corn Oreos while picking up a prescription—they were displayed everywhere: at registers, in the Halloween aisle and in the cookie aisle. Whether the craze had just started or I caught the tail end of it, I knew they’d be fun to use. That’s when the idea for Halloween Cookie Bark came together.
So How Do Candy Corn Oreos Taste?

From other reviews I had a sense of the flavor, and by the time I got home I already had a plan: fold them into a white chocolate cookie bark. The cookies aren’t spectacular, but they’re attractive and work well in a mix of white coating, pretzels, peanuts and M&Ms.

Flavor-wise, the cookies sit between okay and good—pleasant enough and visually perfect for a Halloween treat. In this bark they add color and texture without overpowering the sweet white chocolate and salty elements.

If you can’t find Candy Corn Oreos, Golden Oreos will work as a substitute, but the limited-edition cookies are much more festive. If you see them, grab a package and give this bark a try.
