Honey Mustard Country Ribs are one of those recipes that come together perfectly — better than just good. These ribs are tender, juicy and packed with flavor thanks to a simple honey-mustard glaze and our favorite seasonings. The quick sear on hot grates and a light kiss of smoke finish them beautifully.
We used Date Night Doins seasonings combined with Briggs True Mustard Sauce and honey for a balanced sweet-and-spicy glaze. A short sear on Grill Grates gives great crust while an Amazen smoke tube with apple wood pellets adds a delicate smoky note. The result is a flavorful bite every time.
This recipe makes a great meal to share with family or friends — it’s easy to prepare and always a crowd-pleaser.
Patti and I reserve one night a week for our date night. Usually we fire up the Green Mountain wood pellet grill, but sometimes we cook inside and eat out on the patio. With soft lighting, candles and a pleasant soundtrack, it becomes an evening with good food, a little wine or a strawberry margarita, music and sometimes a dance.

Honey Mustard Country Ribs A Wood Pellet Grill Recipe
Cooking Directions: Honey Mustard Country Ribs
This is a quick-cook recipe. Light your smoke tube to add a light kiss of smoke and preheat your grill grates to 400°F (205°C).
While the grill heats, whisk together the mustard and honey in a small bowl and set aside.
Generously season the ribs with the Butt Rub, then brush or spoon the honey-mustard glaze over them.
Dust the ribs lightly with the Date Night Doins Heat, then sear on hot grill grates. Cook about 10 minutes per side, performing a quarter turn after 5 minutes on each side to create attractive grill marks and even searing.
Remove the ribs when the internal temperature reaches about 145°F (63°C), cover and let rest for 5–10 minutes before serving. The USDA recommends 145°F (63°C) as the safe minimum for pork; remember the meat will carryover cook a few degrees after being removed. Use an instant-read thermometer to verify doneness.
Note: Recipes are an outline rather than a rulebook. Feel free to experiment with different pellet woods or seasoning combinations to suit your taste. When cooking at temperatures above about 250°F (122°C) you’re mostly grilling or roasting rather than producing heavy smoke, so pellet choice matters less at higher temps.

About Our Recipes
We prepare most recipes on our patio, which houses a variety of grills and smokers. Our range includes pellet grills, wood-fired ovens, charcoal and gas units — what we call our “Wall of Grill.” Our cooking style focuses on flavorful, lower-fat approaches that translate well across different equipment. Many recipes can be adapted for gas, charcoal, or pellet grills; a few can even be finished in the oven or slow cooker if weather forces you inside.
The keys to great results are time and temperature. Follow those, and you can adapt seasonings and wood choices to your preference. Don’t be afraid to experiment and personalize a recipe to match your taste.
